Dada Nii Okwabi has been a musician since the age of eight. He is a professional drummer, singer, dancer and teacher and is well-known in his native country of Ghana, West Africa and his new home, Australia.

He performs at festivals, corporate events and private functions across Australia as a solo performer and with his bands The Damushi Ensemble, which specialises in West African percussion, and The Dada Nii Experience, an Afro/Latino dance band. Highlights have included the 'The Call of the Wild' at the Crown Casino in Melbourne, 'The Big Day Out' in Adelaide, 'African Journey!' at Adelaide's Festival Theatre, Womad (Adelaide), YHA Peace Festival, and The Tour Down Under.  He is also the leader of The Damushi Ensemble in Ghana.

Dada Nii runs programs in West African drumming and dance at schools and kindergartens. He also runs drumming workshops and West African cooking classes.

In 2007 Dada Nii released his fifth CD Sea Never Dry.

Each year in July and August Dada Nii leads a four-week drumming and cultural tour to Accra, Ghana.

Sea Never Dry CD
Sea Never Dry is Dada Nii's fifth album. Recorded entirely in Ghana it features The Damushi Ensemble on backing vocals and instrumental music. The CD comes with a bonus DVD of two video clips from the album.
