Welcome!

Professor Dada Nii and The Damushi Ensemble perform at festivals, corporate events and private functions across Australia. The Damushi Ensemble specialises in West African percussion and Afro/jazz.  Highlights have included the 'The Call of the Wild' at the Crown Casino in Melbourne, 'The Big Day Out' in Adelaide, 'African Journey!' at Adelaide's Festival Theatre, Womad (Adelaide), YHA Peace Festival, The Tour Down Under, Norwood Food & Wine Festival, Northern Lights Festival, and Semaphore Street, Fair.  Professor Dada Nii is also the leader of The Damushi Ensemble in Ghana.

We run programs in West African drumming and dance at schools and kindergartens as well as drumming workshops for adults, corporate entities, and community organisations.

In addition, The Damushi Ensemble, led by Professor Dada Nii, conducts a four-week drumming and cultural tour to Ghana, each year, where participants get to experience the cultural diversity of West Africa.
